Harvest Time in the Assisi Vineyard: The Vintage Harvest as It Used to Be during the special days of ‘Cantine Aperte in Vendemmia.
Experience grape harvesting just like our grandparents did: hand-picking grapes, stomping them with feet in antique vats, pressing them, and at the end of the activities, enjoy a picnic lunch on the veranda.

Special for children
All kids can participate in grape picking (under parental supervision) and have fun stomping grapes with their feet. There are also ample spaces to play freely in the shade of the veranda or oak trees, and don’t miss meeting our goats—they’re waiting for you! You can reach the picnic area either by following the vineyard path or comfortably by car.
Duration: 3-4 hours. Welcome to the tasting room and departure for the vineyard tour.
Along the way, you’ll find informative boards that guide you through the discovery of wine and viticulture, even tasting a few grape berries along the path.
Arrive at the most panoramic point of the estate, surrounded by vineyards, olive groves, and centuries-old oak trees, just 900 meters from the Basilica of San Francesco.
The activity begins with hand-harvesting grapes, stomping them with feet in ancient vats, pressing them with a traditional wine press, and preparing the must.
Enjoy a rich picnic lunch for everyone, featuring local artisanal products and zero-kilometer ingredients, all in the shade of the spacious panoramic veranda.
The route offers an exclusive view of Assisi, Perugia, and Santa Maria degli Angeli and is suitable for all ages.

The prices include the entire day of activities: a practical vineyard experience guided by our staff (2.5 hours), lunch on the veranda accompanied by a bottle of SAIO Assisi wine per couple (your choice). You can then stay on the veranda for as long as you’d like.
